The Elgrego Show.

Yesterday Elgrego came to our school and performed a magic show.

When we were ready, Elgrego began his magic by making a bird appear and disappear. Elgrego made three birds into a BIG New Zealand rabbit and, to make it work, he said, "It better work. It better work," then he made some birds appear from a fiery hat!

Next, Elgrego performed a magic trick with fizzy raspberry drink in an upside box. First, he poured the fizzy drink into a plastic cup then he put it into the box. He turned it sideways, up and down, left and right, and then Elgrego opened the box and it was fine. Nothing spilt. We were all amazed.

After the drink trick, we watched Elgrego talk with SeeMore, the baby green dinosaur about bullies. He was sad because people were teasing him about being green. Elgrego put on The Rainbow Song off The Muppets Movie and he felt better and Elgrego was being a ventriloquist. A ventriloquist is a person who talks for the puppet.

Finally, Elgrego did the trick of walking through the brick wall. He went to the back of the brick wall. There was a hole in the brick wall. When we were ready, Elgrego got a cloth and began his magic. He got the cloth and he was waving it all over the place until he popped out. Amazing.

It was so much fun watching it. I wish I could see it again. It was such a great show. It is a good thing Elgrego is coming back next year or in two years.

Zero Waste.

It is important to reuse, recycle, reduce and compost so that we don't keep adding to the landfill. Every month, NZ makes a rugby field long  and 30 classrooms high of rubbish. We can reuse our old things that we don't need any more to make something else useful such as a can phone like in the picture. You would need two cans and a piece of string.

McDonalds

Last night, I went to McDonald's with Mum and Charlotte. At McDonald's, I got the new burger, the McSpicy. I sat by a window and I was screaming my head off because it was so hot with chillies                                                                                                                           and then I told Mum, "I can't finish this. It's too hot," then Mum said, "I knew  it," so I got a Big Mac.
